The church referenced in the letters still exists; it is called the Epworth Methodist Church in Portland. The location today is different from when the church was originally founded, but the organization is the same.


If you are in the Portland, Oregon area, I highly encourage you to visit the Japanese American Museum of Oregon. It is a small museum in the Old Town of Portland, but it contains a wealth of information and resources.
